Outstanding Yields
Top choice for home gardeners
High yields of good-sized kernels
Intermediate growth habit, between runner and bunch
A top performer in home gardens, Bailey bears high yields of medium to large kernels, and it exhibits good disease resistance. This release from North Carolina State University has also shown a good tolerance to a variety of weather and growing conditions. Peanuts require a longer growing season than many other vegetables; they should be planted when the weather is warm and after all danger of frost has passed. To harvest the crop, pull the peanut plants, roots and all, and hang in a cool, dry place for 7-10 days. Then strip the peanuts from the roots and store in mesh bags. Treated seed. 145 DAYS.
