Clusters of vivid red flowers
Blooms on new and old wood
Grows 12-14 ft. tall
Disease resistant and easy care
Ideal for borders, screening and privacy
One of the best red climbing roses we’ve found, this rose has stood the test of time. Don Juan Climbing Rose produces clusters of red, fragrant flowers that stand out against its dark green foliage. Growing 12-14 ft. tall and blooming from late spring to fall, it looks stunning when grown on a trellis, arbor or fence–and its fruity, rose fragrance perfumes the air. Because Don Juan blooms on both old and new wood, you can prune it without worrying about cutting off this year’s flowers. Climbing roses, like Don Juan, tend to be more disease resistant and easier to grow than hybrid teas. They’re valued in the garden for adding vertical interest or a backdrop to the garden as well as creating a colorful, natural privacy screen. Grows best in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Zones 4-10.
