One of the top choices for spring planting. This softneck braiding type has a mild flavor and is excellent for Northern growers. It’s well adapted to cold climates and reliably produces slightly spicy, pink-to-red cloves. Approx. 12-20 cloves per bulb. Walla Walla Early Garlic can be planted in the spring, about 3-4 weeks before the final frost date for your area. Harvest after the tops are brown and dried. Softneck varieties, like Walla Walla, tend to store longer than hardneck varieties. Under optimal conditions, Walla Walla will store up to a year.
